Organizing information and knowledge

Given the expansion of knowledge and information in various formats, the need to organize knowledge and information resources is one of the most important activities of any library. The main goal of organization is to establish an order that will help librarians and users easily find the information source they need from among the information resources available in the library. All necessary measures to make resources accessible through the comprehensive library system are the task of the knowledge organization department. In this department, the collected information resources (physical and electronic) are subjected to analytical and thematic review and are organized, classified (based on the LC global system) and prepared within the framework of international standards of information science and epistemology. The library classification system is the US Congress Classification (LCC).
