Physical reference services

Physical reference service includes providing in-person guidance and consultation to library users by expert librarians. In this type of service, users can ask their research, scientific or informational questions by visiting the library reference section and benefit from the resources available in the library such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases and other printed reference resources. The aim of this service is to respond directly and quickly to the information needs of users and facilitate access to the resources they want.

The resources of the Central Library reference section include Persian and Latin reference books (encyclopedias, dictionaries, bibliographies, guides, atlases, maps, almanacs, bibliographies and rare books). The resources of this section are managed as open shelves. These resources are only used by patrons in the Central Library reference section and the Document Center, and only in case of need and necessity, the required pages and items are reproduced and made available to patrons. The library's classification system is the United States Congress Classification (LCC). Online chat with users in the electronic reference desk section is another service of this section.
